WONDROUS BEGINNINGS
Fantastic visions of flora and fauna are born from the shadowy background of my work. Flowers sprout wings and insects grow roots, flying and evolving. Air is fluid like water and the atmosphere evokes the undersea. Floating in a cosmic dance, they provide a sense of hope or possibility for the future.
As our planet warms and environment changes, life must adapt to survive. I imagine a world in which balance is restored and a diversity of life coexists. Within the environment of the painting there is a microcosm rich with interconnectedness, symbiosis, and belonging.
